Our investigation on the ground in Kiang Kaiaf ward confirms that 3 alkalos have acknowledged a delegation led by the governor of LRR, including the regional police commissioner and regional immigration commissioner, visited village leaders late yesterday evening urging them to vote and maintain peace throughout the process.

At the time of this publication, Infochecked can confirm that the governor and the said delegation did visit alkalos within the Kaiaf ward as claimed. However, we cannot confirm the claims that the governor and his delegation threatened the alkalos to vote for and support the NPP candidate.

CONCLUSION
The claim that the governor of LRR, the regional police commissioner and the regional immigration commissioner visited village leaders within the Kiang Kaiaf ward ahead of the by-election is confirmed to be true.
